Welcome to the BCA

The Bulmershe Community Association (BCA) is the School’s Parent/Teacher Association and we are delighted to welcome you to The Bulmershe School.  The BCA was launched in September 2005 and draws on the expertise and experiences of the School’s former Associations dating back to 1981.  Since that time the Associations have been involved in raising funds and having fun to supplement our students’ ability to participate in academic and practical learning initiatives.

The aims of the current Association are to enhance the educational experiences of our students, promote the reputation of the school by forming linkages with the local community and raising much needed funds.  We have and continue to be involved in a variety of activities across the School, including Woodley Pagoda Sales, Car Boot Sales, our popular Easter Egg Bingos and Quiz Nights, Community Decorating Projects, refreshments at Open Evenings, Parents’ Evenings, School Productions, etc., as well as assisting School Departments and interest groups to raise funds for their own activities.

As ever, voluntary groups grow and survive by the efforts of their members and our hope is that the BCA will continue to develop into a recognized force of help and support for both the School and its community.  The more people that are involved, the greater our offering can be so whether it’s helping out once a year, once a month or once a week, the involvement of all parents, students, staff and local residents is welcomed.  Even the little things make a difference.  For example, by shopping at our Buy.At site you will be raising money for the school.

We have a website, www.bulmershecommunityassociation.org.uk which contains links to our Buy.At site and invite you to take a look and to get in touch if you would like to know more.

With all good wishes
Michael Whittaker (Chairman) & Claire Dyer (Email BCA Secretary)
